Matthew R. Shirley
PT // PRESIDENTMatt Shirley, PT, moved to Ruston from his hometown of Winnsboro in 1993 to attend Louisiana Tech University. In 1998, he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and continued his education receiving a Masters in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. Matt is the managing partner of Lincoln Healthcare, the parent company of Legacy Rehabilitation and Lincoln Outpatient Therapy Services (LOTS), a physical therapy center in Ruston, LA. Matt’s goal is to help patients develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function.
Matt lives in Ruston with his wife, Julie, and their three children, Lauren, Andrew, and Levi. When he’s not working with patients or spending time with his family, Matt enjoys golfing and fishing.
PT // PARTNERKeith Matthews, PT, moved from his hometown of Natchitoches to Ruston to attend Louisiana Tech University. Keith graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Louisiana Tech University and then went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He became a partner of the parent company of Legacy Rehabilitation and Lincoln Outpatient Therapy Services (LOTS) in 2003. He enjoys the various aspects of physical therapy, including helping clients with spine, extremities, and joint pain disorders as well as sports injuries.
Keith and his wife, Denise, keep busy with their two daughters and one son. Keith nurtures his love for architecture by partaking in his favorite weekend hobby, woodworking.
CPA // CEO // CFOEmily joined Legacy’s parent company, Lincoln Healthcare, as CEO/CFO in 2009 and has nearly 15 years of experience in accounting in various industries. She received two Bachelor degrees from Louisiana Tech University, majoring in both Finance and Accounting. Currently, Emily oversees the extensive services that Legacy provides to its partnered centers including billing, finance, human resources, and payer contracting. She also provides the strategic financial vision needed for Legacy to continue to grow and prosper. Emily’s key focus is to deliver superior, value-add services to patient centers while finding ways to improve efficiencies.
Emily loves spending time with her husband, Steve, and their daughter, Hadley, and vacationing at the beach. In her spare time, she enjoys lounging by the pool (or ocean) with a good book.
LOTR // DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL OPERATIONSTanya McGowan, OTR, is an Occupational Therapist who has practiced in her hometown of Ruston, LA since 1989. Tanya received a BA in Occupational Therapy from University of Louisiana at Monroe and takes a special interest understanding the needs of her patients. She enjoys working at Legacy and is thankful for the opportunity to help others improve the quality of their life through rehabilitation.
Proud mother of two boys, Tanya, enjoys spending quality time with her sons, Sean and Brian. Given the opportunity to travel anywhere, Tanya’s dream would be to explore the 7 Wonders of the World.
